Fire Retardants
The majority of Bamboobarry products are sold without fire retardant protection. Our Florida State licensing allows us to offer interior and exterior Class A fire retardant product treatment for bamboo, wood and fabrics. We can treat our own products or yours - as in the case of exhibition booths or other public venues. BAMBOOBARRY Retardant Specifications: - FIRESHEILD Fire Retardant for interior applications. - If specified when ordering, we can fire retard products prior to shipping and issue a certificate for the Fire Marshall. - Fire retardants can also be shipped with the products and applied after installation. - However, we would not be able to issue a certificate for this option. - If you have a pre-existing structure that requires fire retardant or needs a reapplication, our team will come to your site, make the application and issue the corresponding certificate. FAQs about BAMBOOBARRY'S Fire Retardants: Q: Will the product burn at all? A: Yes, this is a fire retardant, not a fire proofing. However once the product ignites, it does extinguish within seconds. Q: Once fire retardant is applied, will it change the color of the product? A: No, the fire retardant dries clear. Q: Are these products Ecological or are they toxic to human contact. A: These products are produced using a totally ecological closed loop system and will not harm humans once the product has completely dried. While wet it will cause minor skin irritation under direct exposure for an extended period of time.
